When was the last time you took out your spiritual, emotional, and mental trash?

I remember when I moved into my first condo, I told my wife I wanted to buy an extra-large garbage bin because I didn’t want to throw out the trash at the end of each day. But she graciously informed me that it may not be that great of an idea.
For most condo and apartment dwellers, small trash doesn’t just save space. But taking out the trash regularly prevented the condo becoming smelly. And most importantly only small trash bags were able to fit down the apartment garbage chute. Large garbage bags would inevitably clog and damage the garbage disposal system. It would be back-breaking work to lug a week’s worth of garbage all the way to the disposal room on the ground floor.
In the same way, many of us may accumulate a small bag of spiritual, emotional, and mental trash at the end of each day. If we are not quick to throw it out regularly, the internal baggage can accumulate to a point where it becomes an unbearable load to carry and dispose of by ourselves.
To help us with unloading this spiritual, emotional, and mental garbage each day, I felt inspired to come up with a “5-Minute Evening Spiritual Surrender”. If you want this document in a printable pdf format, feel free to send me a DM. Enjoy!
